Mississippi Raiders Update

HICKORY, NC – Following yesterday's event and extensive discussions with the Mississippi ownership group, AIF President/CEO Brandon Ikard has made the difficult decision to remove the Mississippi Raiders from the league's schedule.

"This decision was not made lightly, especially given that we are only in the second week of the season," Ikard stated. "However, it was crucial for the sustainability and viability of the league that we take decisive action."

Ikard has been diligently working to address the challenges inherited upon assuming ownership. He acknowledged, "There have been several issues that needed correction, and I have taken steps to rectify these matters and identify more sustainable opportunities moving forward."

While this decision may be disappointing to fans, Ikard emphasized that it was made with the long-term health of the league in mind. "We remain committed to delivering high-quality entertainment and fostering a competitive environment for our teams and fans," he affirmed. "We are dedicated to collaborating closely with our current ownership groups as we chart a path to deliver an unparalleled product for the remainder of this year and beyond. Together, we are committed to raising the bar and ensuring sustained excellence as a league."
